Pedro Fusane

Pedro became part of our team at Casa Ahava in 2015 and is an integral part of our ability serve and love each new patient at Casa Ahava. Pedro was born in the Maniça province of Central Mozambique and is fluent in many of the languages and dialects from all over the country. Pedro helps ensure communication with our patients does not depend on any one language. This is invaluable when a patient is gravely ill and speaking in a second language (Portuguese) is difficult.

Pedro is part of the team transporting our patients to and from the Maputo Central Hospital, accompanying them in any treatment, consultation, imaging, or testing they need and ensuring they understand what is going on and what to expect.

Pedro also works tirelessly at our home, helping with maintenance, food for our patients, and simple presence when cancer makes every moment hard.
