Maputo Central Hospital (HCM), the largest healthcare facility in Mozambique, is a crucial partner for Casa Ahava. As a prominent institution in the country, HCM’s oncology ward refers cancer patients to Casa Ahava, where they become part of our family yet remain connected to hospital directly. This partnership allows Casa Ahava to maximize the impact of limited resources, ensuring that patients walking with cancer in a developing country have access to essential care (HCM) along with access to a community (Casa Ahava).

We are dedicated to nurturing and supporting cancer patients from Maputo Central Hospital’s oncology ward and beyond. We recognize the challenges of providing comprehensive care in a developing country so we collaborate closely with HCM, even when resources run out and ends are frayed. This partnership underscores a shared commitment to health and community, focusing on the emotional and psychological well-being of patients and their families.
