About Casa Ahava

Casa Ahava is a hospice and convalescence home in Mozambique, providing a sanctuary for cancer patients who are undergoing oncological treatments or are in the terminal stages of the disease. With a capacity of 19 beds, Casa Ahava caters to patients who have been transferred to Maputo Central Hospital but lack the support of friends, family, or community in the area. We offer a compassionate and nurturing environment where patients can receive not only medical care but also emotional, psychological, and spiritual support, bearing witness to the acumulation of loss during their most challenging times.

We focus is on creating a warm and supportive atmosphere for patients facing the daunting journey of cancer treatment or end-of-life care alone. We strive to meet or witneess the unique needs of each member of our family, providing personalized care that respects their dignity and humanity. By partnering with Maputo Central Hospital, Casa Ahava ensures that patients receive consistent and holistic care, making the best use of available resources in a developing country. This commitment to compassion and community makes Casa Ahava a vital lifeline for those who might otherwise face their battles alone.
